Our purpose and vision at Victor Baptist is ‘Reaching a City to Reach the World!” This vision comes from the scriptural command and challenge found in Acts 1:8,

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  
 

We are seeking to accomplish this vision and mission the Lord Jesus has given us by helping each other mature in Him. This maturity takes place as individuals in the church take 3 basic steps toward spiritual growth. We feel each step helps us grow in Christ and move toward becoming mature disciples who can reach the city of Greer and even the world! 
 

        “Step of Faith” (Matthew 6:33)

      Confess Christ as Savior and Lord

      Consistently participate in worship

      Commitment to God’s family (membership) 
 

            “Taking the Next Step” (Acts 2:42)

                  Get involved in a weekly small group (like Sunday School)

                  Give and receive the support of fellowship and prayer

                  Develop your spiritual gifts 
 

                                            “Stepping Out” (Matthew 28:18-20)

                                                      Find ministries to plug into

                                                      Support missions projects of the church

                                                      Invest in peoples lives and invite them to Christ 
 

As we personally take these steps, maturity in Christ takes place. And as we mature, we encourage others to do the same. It is part of our “spurring one another on to love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24). Maturing believers will inevitably reach this city and impact the world for Jesus Christ!
