Ken has been the pastor of Victor since June of 2002.  Moving from Charleston, SC, where he pastored Folly Beach Baptist for 6 ½ years, Ken is leading Victor in its vision of “Reaching a City to Reach the World” through biblical preaching and personal application. Originally from Atlanta, he is an ’86 graduate of The Citadel, where he played Division 1A baseball and was involved with FCA. Ken received his Master of Divinity from the Beeson Divinity School of Sanford University in 1994. He has served several churches in South Carolina and Alabama. He and Barbara were married in July of 1987 and have two children Bryan and Mary Beth. Ken enjoys time with family, reading, and sports.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sue McDowell has served Victor Baptist Church as Ministry Assistant for 13 years. Her duties include Financials, Secretarial Duties, and Ministry Assistant to the Senior Pastor. She is a graduate of Cecil’s Business College, Furman University Classes and is a certified Ministry Assistant through the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Sue and her husband Tom reside in Greenville where they enjoy spending time with their two granddaughters; Katie & Lindsay

 

 

 

 

 

 

Crystal Capps was born in Albemarle, NC. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Church Music and Music Education from Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, NC. Crystal is married to her childhood sweetheart, Tom Capps. They have two children. Heather, 25, is married and living in Atlanta. Josh, 22, is a senior at North Greenville University. Crystal has served on the staff of four churches in NC and SC since 1975 primarily in music ministries. She most recently served as Minister of Music & Worship at Northgate Baptist Church in Greenville from February, 1997 through February, 2007. In addition to her ministry at Victor, Crystal serves as a Mission Service Corps Missionary with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Her ministry focuses on mobilizing individuals and churches to reach out into the community to serve the needs of senior adults who live alone at home, in apartment communities or in nursing homes. She also works with Central Community Ministries to mobilize volunteers and mission teams to meet needs and share Christ in the inner city of Greenville. Crystal enjoys spending time with her family, traveling in the mountains, camping, singing and playing piano, reading, and gardening.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rev. Tom Capps was born in Greenville, SC. His father was a Baptist minister and his mother was a nurse. This provided him a heritage of helping people. He was raised in Texas and North Carolina and educated beyond his intelligence at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Tom married his childhood sweetheart, Crystal Waller. They have two children. Heather, 25, is married and living in Atlanta. Josh, 22, is a senior at North Greenville University. Tom has served on the staff of five churches in NC and SC since 1974 in youth, music, and education ministries. He was Associate Pastor at Northgate Baptist Church in Greenville from June, 1995 to February, 2007. In addition to his ministry at Victor, Tom serves as Missions Mobilization Consultant with Greer Baptist Association. He also works extensively with the SC Baptist Convention in leadership development with Sunday School and missions. Tom enjoys doing anything with his family, traveling in the mountains, camping, singing, reading, woodworking and yard work. Tom’s life verse is Colossians 3:23-24.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

William H. Jones, III (Billy) grew up attending Victor Baptist Church. He has served as organist since the early 90's. Billy majored in Music Education at North Greenville College and Georgia Southern University prior to studying and entering the Healthcare Industry. During his youth he began filling in on the piano and became the church pianist. He served as Youth Choir director for a period at Victor and served several churches as Music Director and many others as interim accompanist. Billy finds the most pleasure and enjoyment in playing the piano and organ for others and enjoys creating musical arrangements of traditional hymns.

 

 

 

   

   

   

   

 

Frances Leonhardt has been a member at Victor Baptist for over 40 years. She accompanies on the electric piano and piano, as well as singing in the choir. She is married to Darrell and has 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

    

   

Nita McCall has been the pianist at Victor Baptist for 30 years. She also has a fine voice and sings in the choir and with our ensemble. Nita has two children, Angie Tanner who is an attorney living in Bluffton, SC and Kevin who resides in Greer. Nita's favorite Bible passage is Psalm 23 and her favorite hymn is "Because He Lives.

 

 

   

   

 

 

    Mr. Bruce Taylor is the Lights and Security manager and has been a member of Victor Baptist Church for over 50 years and has been in this capacity since 1990. Bruce served our country in WW II and is a graduate of Clemson University. Bruce is a widower residing in Greer and has a daughter Ms. Nita McCall. His favorite verse is John 3:16.
